Deep Diver
While this course doesn’t focus on decompression techniques, you will learn about essential decompression procedures, including nitrogen narcosis and decompression sickness, as well as how to use dive computers to avoid the need for stage decompression. The course will also cover the purpose, challenges, hazards, planning, preparation, equipment, air supplies, roles of personnel, techniques, gas management, emergency procedures, and depth limits for recreational diving. Deep diving is defined as dives conducted between 60 feet (18 meters) and 130 feet (40 meters).
Divers who especially enjoy deeper dives will be interested in the Wreck Diving Specialty. The more intact wrecks are usually at deeper depths.
