These are the final checkout dives required to become a certified scuba diver! They take place after your pool training sessions and are completed over a weekend.

These are included in the price of the course that you already paid for when you signed up for the pool sessions. You just have to select a weekend that works for you.

What to Expect:

• 4 open water dives (Saturday & Sunday)
• Demonstrate the skills you learned in the pool
• Minimal instructor assistance—this is your final evaluation

Your instructor will contact you about 1 week prior with schedule details and arrival times. Start times are subject to change based on the instructor's weekend schedule. 

Open Water Checkout Referral: Option for those interested in getting certified at the destination of your choice. The price of course is not waived for choosing to do referral checkout dives elsewhere. Please contact the shop to discuss your referral options. 

Private Option: Private fees of $150 per open water session per person will apply if a class is scheduled exclusively for you or arranged outside our regular class schedule. We will create a course just for you without a private fee if you are able to recruit a minimum of 4 people to participate!

Requirements Before Attending:

• Pool training (confined water) completed
• E-learning 100% complete. No Exceptions.
• Must complete dives within 6 months of pool sessions

Costs & What's Included:

• Rental gear (reg, bcd, tank, wetsuit, etc.) included
• Travel, lodging, meals, park fees not included
• Responsible for transporting and cleaning your own rental gear

Important Notes:

• Be prepared, on time, and ready to perform skills
• If you don’t feel ready, contact us to schedule extra pool training for an extra $50 per session. 
• $90 reschedule fee for changes within 48 hours or no-shows
