Underwater Environment
Enroll in an Underwater Environment course to learn about the physical and biological aspects of the diving environment with an emphasis on your local area.
You'll study related sciences, such as oceanography, limnology, geology, biology, and ecology, and learn about various types of plant and animal life, conservation and pollution issues, the characteristics of water movement, shore, bottom and surface conditions, and how to plan dives in diverse diving locations.
Please note:
- A $100 rescheduling fee will apply to reschedules or no-shows made within 48 hours of the course.
- Students are required to provide their own gear, or rent from the Louisville Dive Center at the student's expense.
- Other required gear include: compass, computer, surface marker buoy.
- All accommodations, transportation, park fees, and meals are NOT included in the price of this course.
- Tanks and weights are included in the course.
