Prerequisites to become an Avelo Pro (Instructor):

• Be an active and insured (where required) open-water scuba instructor. 
• Meet required swim test standards (for example: 400-meter swim in under 15 minutes; 10-minute treading with last 2 minutes with hands out of water). 
• Have completed a minimum of 10 dives using the Avelo System. 
• Maintain a current Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire and a Physician’s Evaluation Form (signed) even if there are no “yes” answers. 
• Provide proof of instructor-level training experience:
  • Have certified a stated minimum number of standard scuba certifications (e.g., open water, advanced open water, rescue, specialties) and/or assisted or shadowed Avelo instruction. 
  • Have shadowed at least one Avelo RAD course (with at least two students).
