Open Water Referral Program

Please note that to participate in this referral program, you must have already completed both the e-learning AND pool sessions with your initiating dive shop. If you have not begun the Open Water scuba diving course, please refer to the Open Water course offered at the Louisville Dive Center. 

Join us for an unforgettable Open Water certification experience through our referral program! 

• Rental Gear Included: The referral includes scuba rental gear (tanks, weights, regulator, BCD, wetsuit, hood, gloves, etc.) if you choose to pick it up from, and return it to, the Louisville Dive Center.  
  • Note: You must already have your own personal gear- mask, fins, snorkel, booties, and surface marker buoy, to participate in this open water referral program.
• How to Enroll: Sign up for one of the Open Water weekends below.
  • We primarily certify NAUI students without any restrictions but can also accommodate PADI and SDI students, subject to instructor availability and certain OW weekends.

Referral Process:

1. Complete your confined water class with your current dive shop.
2. Have your instructor fill out the "Student Information" and "Initiating Instructor" sections of the Universal Referral Form and email us a copy of the form for our certifying instructor.
3. Email us a copy of your signed medical waiver and skills checklist completed during your confined water training.
4. Sign a LDC rental gear agreement and NAUI liability waiver upon arrival at the shop or open water checkout site. 

Please note:

• A $90 reschedule fee applies to changes or cancellations made within 48 hours of your session.
• We primarily certify NAUI students without any restrictions but can also accommodate PADI and SDI students, subject to instructor availability and certain OW weekends.
• It is the student's responsibility to transport rental gear to and from the dive site.
• Accomodations, transportation, and park fees at the Open Water site are NOT included.
